Originally established in 1918, Panasonic formerly used to be called as Matsushita Electronic Industrial Co., Ltd. which settled down its root in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan. Till 2008, the company earned a lot of fame with the same brand name but from 2009 onwards, the company changed its name to Panasonic Corporation which is widely popular all around the world.

Unearthed in 1918, Matsushita Electronic Industrial Co., Ltd. (presently named as Panasonic) started manufacturing and selling light bulb sockets which got popular in no time. Later with the pace of time, it soon became one of the largest Japanese electronics company which started selling Panasonic power tools and products just like any other renowned brand including- Canon, Toshiba, and Sony.

The best thing about Panasonic was it started the bandwagon of dealing in non-electronic products as well which ultimately grasped a lot of attention of the market and made it a one-stop shop for almost all purposes.

In 1961, Matsushita visited the United States and met many American dealers who encouraged him to come up with a television manufacturing series. Therefore, Konosuke Matsushita launched a series of Panasonic television in the United States market. To this, American market accepted this range of T.V sets and soon made it a popular brand in almost every corner of the United States. Later, Panasonic expanded its market in Europe as well.

From then, this brand got recognition all over the world. Once, people started loving Panasonic television, they also started dealing in VHS, VCR, radio, rice cookers and much more. And at present, this brand is quite popular among young lads for its series of smartphone.
